OUR HISTORY

In 2002, Four Star Paving was founded and built on cultivating strong relationships, having the capacity to deliver, and an unrivaled expertise to execute. The Company was founded by four former colleagues, Charles R. Birdwell, Theodore F. Gowder, Michael G. Maynard, and Robert D. Thompson. The original partners were hands on senior leaders in the business and that model continues today with its current partners actively involved in our daily operations.

Today, the Company is privately owned by a partnership amongst its Senior Leadership Team. This Senior Leadership Team includes Robert Loudermilk (VP-Client Relations & Sales), Clint Hensley (VP-Field Operations), and Brock Lodge (VP-Finance & Administration). As a result of the Partnership and Senior Leadership structure, our employees and clients can expect direct interaction with the owners on a daily basis. You will see that our owners are accessible, friendly, and eager to respond quickly to any challenge that arises. They are most interested in building long term employee relationships and creating a culture built on respect, opportunities, accountability, discipline, and most importantly safety. That is simply The Four Star Way! Our clients have come to trust our high quality of work and ability to meet timely demands.

Four Star Paving has employees and equipment to self-perform a wide range of services including: site management and preparation, stone placement and compaction, curb and gutter construction, and high specification asphalt paving. With all facets of heavy highway construction comes inherent danger to our employees, the traveling public and the environment that we work in.
